WHY THE GUIDE ISN'T AVAILABLE IN PRINT

For a number of reasons...

COST: To print a full-color, 255-page book would be exorbitant, especially in smaller quantities. Then there's the additional cost of shipping the books from the printer to me (determined by weight). Consequently, the retail price of the book be far too expensive.

FEATURES: Two of the best features of digital formatting are Searchable Text (the ability to type a word into a search field and go directly to each occurance within the document) and Active Links. Links are plentiful throughout the Guide. They can take the reader to an online website (when a wireless connection is available) or to related information in another page of the Guide. In a printed book, the links are displayed but are not dynamic.

UPDATES: As new information becomes available, I'm able to immediately incorporate those changes into the Guide. (See Updates.)

INVENTORY: Not printing the Guide as a book means I'm not stuck with a stack of unsold books that I have to discard at the end of each model year when the pricing and features change.

ALTERNATIVES

COPY THE GUIDE: You may copy the Guide from the CD to any device YOU own, such as your laptop or mobile devices. If you have a Kindle or an iPad, Adobe has Acrobat apps available for both devices, making the Guide convenient to reference while traveling, especially with the links and searchable text.

PRINT THE GUIDE: You can print the entire Guide or just the pages you'd like to have on hand, either from your own printer or at a self-serve copy machine. Copy centers such as Kinkos or Staples won't (and shouldn't) print it for you due to the copyright violation.
